Developing the School Prayer Room

Father Eamonn and the parish have been supporting school in the development of the prayer room this academic year - thinking how we can ensure the lovely space is a child-friendly space where we can learn about and reflect through different types of prayer. We thank them for their very kind donation to support the purchase of the new range of resources and soft furnishings that make it so welcoming.

Visiting "Pop into Pat's" each half term

Once a half term, our 'Mini Vinnies' visit the Monday parish 'Pop into Pat's' group at St Patrick's Church over lunchtime. They share lunch with the parishioners who are in attendance, talk about life at St Patrick's school and the different activities they have taken part in. It is wonderful to see our pupils interacting with different generations, sharing stories and enjoying each others company - a reminder that we are all one St Patrick's family, parish and school together as one.

Presenting Pupils on their Journey of Sacramental Preparation to the Parish

Sacrament of Confirmation:

Our pupils in Year 6, are presented to the parish on a Saturday evening Mass as they choose to start their journey of preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation. In presenting the pupils to the parish, we are asking for them to be in their thoughts and prayers as they are guided to be ready to receive the special sacrament. A board with all the pupils pictures and prayers on is placed on the sanctuary during Mass and remains in church during the time of preparation.
